About Eastern Maine AIDS Network

Established in 1987 as a grass roots response to the needs of people living with and affected by HIV and AIDS, the Eastern Maine AIDS Network (EMAN) is a not-for-profit agency that provides a variety of services throughout eastern and northern Maine. A primary goal is to afford support to clients who are living with HIV/AIDS through case management, emergency funding, food pantry, social services and client activities. It also provides extensive community outreach prevention education and HIV antibody testing to the general public. EMAN started a needle exchange project in 2002 as part of its harm reduction program.
