  • Juanita Taylor
    Secretary
Juanita Taylor joined the EMAN Board and has served as Secretary since April 2009. She grew up in Maine and attended the University of Maine at Presque Isle. After many years of working in manufacturing, Juanita transitioned to the healthcare industry as a Director of Outreach for a federally qualified health center. Currently, she works for Dirigo Pines as Activity Director. Over the years Juanita has volunteered and worked for many causes. She is former Town Councilor for the Town of Dexter and was involved for many years in the Kiwanis group, including holding the office of President Elect. For many years she was active in the Komen Maine Race for the Cure, holding positions as Survivor Chair, Race Co-Chair and Race Chair. As a breast cancer survivor herself, she understands deeply the need to "give back" to the community. She is active in her church, serving on the Outreach Committee. Having had dear friends that were HIV positive she knows the importance of testing and community outreach, as education is the best defense against HIV. Juanita lives in Bangor with her wife, Carol Higgins Taylor, and their six animals.
  • Veronica White, CPA
    Treasurer
  • Stacey R. Coventry
Stacey joined the EMAN Board in June 2009. She grew up in Connecticut and attended college at Syracuse University in NY where she studied journalism and sociology. She served as Editor for the campus' newsmagazine and infused important social issues into the publication's content, hoping to give a voice to the range of topics that impacted the campus community. In 2004 Stacey moved to Maine and joined AmeriCorps as a VISTA for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Maine. Her interest in HIV/AIDS has developed from her strong dedication to youth development from child bereavement to education and tolerance. In August, she received her Masters in Nonprofit Management from Husson University and was promoted to Program Director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Maine. Stacey lives in Hampden with her significant other.
  • Wallace Fraser, Jr.
  • Carl Goodwin-Moore, LMSW-CC
Carl joined the EMAN Board in September 2009. Carl graduated from the University of Maine at Augusta with a BS in Mental Health and Human Services in 2005 and will complete his Masters of Social Work at UMaine in December 2009. Carl has had the privilege of working in the human services field for over 20 years. Carl currently works as a Case Manager, Intake Coordinator and Community Case Management Liaison for the State of Maine, DHHS Adult Developmental Services. In his spare time, Carl works for Mid-Coast Mental Health Center in Rockland/Belfast as a Crisis Clinician. Supporting AIDS Service Organizations is a personal passion for Carl who lost his big brother, Ben, to AIDS in 2000. Like numerous others who live with HIV/AIDS, there is a fear that they will die alone and be forgotten. Carl and his siblings created an AIDS Quilt Panel for Ben, who spent his final years educating the community about what life is like for a gay man living with HIV/AIDS. Carl lives in Belfast.
