Volunteering for Eastern Maine AIDS Network

Eastern Maine AIDS Network Volunteer

Volunteers assist EMAN with a variety of initiatives and services.

As the staff of Eastern Maine AIDS Network is very small, we are heavily reliant on volunteers to help us provide quality service to our clients, as well as outreach to the community.

There are often many volunteer opportunities available to suit all skills and abilities. Tasks range from office reception and clerking to housekeeping to one-time events.

To volunteer at EMAN, you must:

  • Fill out the Volunteer Application Form.
  • Be over 18 years of age or have written permission from a parent or guardian.
  • Provide EMAN staff/coordinator with at least two references.
  • Be free of any substances that impair performance.
  • Support EMAN's mission and the clientele seeking services.
  • Sign a confidentiality agreement and commit to strict confidentiality.
  • Be responsible for assigned hours/tasks or inform the staff if you will be unable to do so, as soon as possible.
  • Pass a background check, if you will be working directly with clients.
